About Archery & Archery Tag
Combining the precision of traditional archery with the excitement of dodgeball, Archery Tag is an adrenaline-pumping team sport using foam-tipped arrows. Players aim to eliminate opponents or hit targets while dodging incoming arrows. Our program includes both target shooting practice and competitive gameplay, making it perfect for all skill levels.
Participants learn proper shooting techniques, including how to hold the bow physically and use the right form to shoot accurately at target boards or bunkers. The program emphasizes safety, skill development, and teamwork through engaging game formats.

General Archery Tag Gameplay Rules
1Player Elimination
When a foam-tipped arrow hits a player, they are eliminated. Exceptions:
- • Arrow hits the player's head
- • A game rule was broken
2Safe Zone Rules
The game kicks off with a 'safe zone' at the centre of the field:
- • All arrows are placed at the centre within the safe zone first
- • No shooting is allowed within the safe zone at ANY time
3Arrow Limit
Each player can only hold up to 2 arrows (or as the instructor may determine) at any one time.
4Centre Line Boundary
The centre line must not be crossed - players cannot cross into the opponent's zone.
5Bringing Back Teammates
In "1 Hit 1 Kill" mode, to bring back an eliminated teammate, use one of these methods:
- • Successfully knock out a target
- • Catch an arrow before it hits the ground (must be a convincing catch)
6Game Duration
- • Games last around 10-12 minutes
- • Teams can be 5v5, 7v7, or 10v10 per arena (as instructor decides)
- • Game concludes once objectives are successfully achieved
Game Formats
Capture The Flag (More Active)
A traditional outdoor game where two teams each have a flag (or other marker) and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base," and bring it safely back to their own base.
Key Features: High body movement, maximum engagement, active running and dodging
Rules: Enemy players can be "tagged" by arrows when in their home territory. Depending on the rules, tagged players may be out of the game, become members of the opposite team, sent back to their own territory, or frozen in place ("in jail") until freed by a teammate.
Target Practice (Less Active)
As the name suggests, this format involves precision shooting where teams may shoot one at a time or together to hit designated targets and achieve scores.
Key Features: Focus on accuracy and technique, less body movement, skill-based competition
Objective: The team with the highest scores wins. This format emphasizes shooting accuracy over physical activity.
